Lucia Kupcikova became a real leader of the Slovakian national team last summer during the qualifying campaign. Pokey Chatman has trusted her and the 24-year-old has shown that she was reliable, averaging 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. She has become the second offensive threat of the team along with Zuzana Zirkova, and the youngster can still improve. Since 2007, the small forward has played for MBK Ruzomberok. Last season she averaged 11.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in the Extraliga. She also played in the EuroCup Women, scoring 10.0 points per game.
