Modica proved her worth at EuroBasket Women 2007 with a solid display averaging over 7 points in 20 minutes per game and realising the potential many suggested she had going into the tournament, her first at senior level. She has evolved as a flexible and really useful player in recent seasons and continued her good form into European club competition averaging double figures in EuroLeague Women with Venezia in 2008. Having now returned to the club where she started her career, she continues to run the fast break pretty well in addition to providing a considerable three-point threat. Modica is defensively sound and a nice option for Coach Ticchi to bring off the bench. Sadly, she missed the Italian Cup Final win for her club side earlier this year.
