Israel came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat Great Britain 75-69 and seal a place in next summer's EuroBasket Women in Latvia.

The Israelis and Lithuania, who won their game against Germany on Saturday, finished in the top two in Group A to advance to next year's Final Round.

The defeat completed an agonising summer for the British women who were close in most of their games but only had a single win in Germany to show for their efforts.

Shay Doron drilled five three-balls on her way to 28 points for Israel, making her the game's leading scorer.

Kimberly Butler finished with 22 for the Brits.

Three times Mark Clark's British team opened up four-point leads in the final period, the last time at 59-55 with 6:12 remaining on a lay-up by Johannah Leedham.

Their last lead came with 4:58 remaining in the contest when Butler's lay-up make it 61-60.

Doron responded by hitting one of her threes and Liron Cohen followed with a lay-up to make it 65-61 for Israel.

Butler scored and Leedham nailed a jumper to tie the contest at 65-65, but the night belong to Doron and Israel.

Doron gave her side the lead for good with another shot from behind the arc with 2:20 remaining.
