Bosnia and Herzegovina threw a major scare into Great Britain on Friday but fell 61-77 in the EuroBasket Women Relegation Round clash.

Britain (3-2), needing to win to maintain a realistic chance of avoiding the drop into Division B, trailed 49-48 with 2:12 left in the third quarter but Mark Clark's team went on a 25-2 run over the next seven minutes to take command and ultimately claim a vital road win.

Should Romania beat Finland in the other group game on Friday, then Great Britain will control their own destiny and avoid relegation with a win in their last game against the Romanians on Monday.

Sarah McKay had 20 points and 12 rebounds for Britain.

Bosnia and Herzegovina received 16 points from Anja Stupar. They had already been condemned to Division B after losing their opening four games in the Relegation Round.

Their final clash is at Finland.
