Career: Liepajas metalurgs (Latvia-LSBL, 2005-09)
Sabine is the youngest member of the Latvian squad. She has had very impressive statistics at European youth level. Last summer, the 17-year-old was the top rebounder (14.3) and fourth best scorer (17.8) in the U20 European Championship Women. She also led Latvia's U18 team to a gold medal in the Division B tournament (17.5 points, 10.6 rebounds per game). Good with or without the ball, she finished as the top-scorer of the Latvian Women's League in 2008-09, averaging 25.3 points per game and adding 12.2 rebounds. Niedola was the main weapon of the Liepajas metalurgs club in a successful battle for a third place in the Latvian league. Sabine can play at both forward positions even if she might be undersized at the four and not quite mobile enough as a small forward.
