It's pretty surprising to find Laima at this level when you consider the fact that she's still learning the ropes with Marijampole and that this young forward is not a dominant player in her national league yet. Nonetheless, she was pretty impressive in the EuroCup Women and that could earn her a spot with the senior team, after being the leader of the U20 national team. Lithuania is rich in centers but pretty poor in the power forward department and that could be her chance to crack the rotation, using her sweet shooting touch and post moves to earn minutes. The best player of the ‘88 generation might be off to a promising international career.
