Olesia Malashenko is a young power forward, who never played for the senior national team yet, but who is ready to help Volodymyr Bryukhovetskiy in Latvia. Malashenko is the only Ukrainian who plays abroad and who won the national championship. She is the leader of her club side, with very strong mid-range jumper and a tough defensive stance. She missed the qualification campaign due to health issues and is now ready to contribute. Malashenko is a good shooter and a great rebounder. She perfectly follows all coaching instructions and catches new tasks on the fly. After playing for the senior team in Latvia, Malashenko will join the U20 and the U18 teams for the rest of the summer.
