Katerina Bartonova is one of the most promising Czech players. In 2006, she led her country to the silver medal at the U16 European Championship and was named MVP. She averaged 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists, displaying a very complete game. That same summer, she also played a part in the Czech Republic's fourth place finish at the U18 European Championship Women, and had 6.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists against older players. Bartonova started her career in Hradec Kralove and averaged 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in the domestic league at only 18. Then last summer she moved to USK Prague to get experience in the EuroLeague Women.
