The Czech Republic thrashed Poland 82-68 on Monday to knock them out of the EuroBasket Women and clinch a spot in the Quarter-Finals for Greece.

In an unexpected turn of events, the struggling Czechs who had just one win saved their best performance for their last game. 

Poland go into their final Qualifying Round game against the Czech Republic looking to snap a two-game losing skid.

After stunning Greece in Group B with Magdalena Leciejewska's buzzer-beating jumper and then coming from behind in the fourth quarter to knock off Hungary, Poland have suffered setbacks to Slovakia and Spain.

The Evina Maltsi show was the main attraction again at the EuroBasket Women on Saturday as Greece defeated the Czech Republic to keep their hopes of reaching the Quarter-Finals alive.

Maltsi, playing against some of her ZVVZ USK Prague teammates, hit five shots from long range and finished with 24 points as Greece won 62-45.
