Svetlana Abrosimova started her international career in 1997, the same year she moved to the United States to spend four years in the NCAA at the University of Connecticut. She came back to Russia six years later. Since then she played for two of the best teams in her homeland: Spartak Moscow Region and Ekaterinburg. Last season she averaged 6.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.9 assist and 1.6 steal per game in EuroLeague Women with the latter team. Abrosimova is a very complete player. She's a very important player on both sides of the court, as she is a tough defender.
