Last summer Marija Eric was one of the key players of the Serbian national team. In the qualifying round she ended third in passing with 4.7 assists per game. The point guard was also second in scoring among Serbian players behind Miljana Musovic. The 26-year-old player is one of the few experienced player of the national team. She started her career in Vojvodina but moved very quickly to Italy where she has become one of the best international players. She played in EuroLeague Women in 2007 with Germano Zama Faenza, averaging solid figures: 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.4 dimes. She is also a renowned three-point shooter.
